Benefits of installing industrial fans
Whether it is your home or working environment of a large industry, fans do have heavy duties to perform. Right from providing air and gas ventilation solution to drying and cooling applications every tasks are performed by industrial fans. Majority of the chemical and manufacturing plant, agricultural and food processing units, mining and construction factories, automotive units are using industrial fans.
Industrial fans operate in two forms- Radial and axial. These are two different blade types. The major function of industrial fans is to supply large amount of fresh air and replace the polluted air. Industrial fans are also effective in reducing gaseous fumes.
Some of the other benefits of commercial fans are - it is easy to install, require less maintenance, efficient in controlling small source of contaminants. The main objective of industrial ventilation systems is to push the air without recirculating it. Common type of pollutants like dust, mold, wielding fumes, vapor, toxic chemicals, oils, mists etc can be eliminated by such industrial ventilation system.
How do centrifugal fans operate?
Centrifugal fans are major type of heavy-duty Industrial fans. It has multitude of use in various industrial processes and air-pollution control system. You can see its frequent use in grain drying, greenhouse ventilation as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems- where high air pressure is needed.
If you compare between axial fan and centrifugal fan, there is a major difference in their operating mechanism. Axial fans generally moves large amount of air whereas centrifugal create high pressure.
Centrifugal fans consist of following components: a fan wheel, fan housing, inlet /outlet damper. When air enters the fan, it gets perpendicular to the fan shaft, passes over the fan blade and exits the fan housing.
Centrifugal blades can be of three different types- forward, backward, and radial. Each is having different fan rotation direction, energy requirement and operating efficiencies. All these blades are self-cleaning. However radial blades are used in air pollution control system.
